Internships


Educational Care:

Volunteers can have a positive impact by caring for children or local schools. You can give back by playing games and arranging activities, as well as contributing to the community by renovating and decorating schools.

You can have your own class after school where you can arrange activities that teach kids and get them involved.

MINI LIBRARY PROJECT FOR COMMUNITY KIDS (MLP4CKIDS):

This project initiated by AFC is intended to build mini library for kids in communities where it is needed most and put a volunteer there to help the kids develop reading habit at an early age.

General Care: You can choose to help out within orphanages or local schools and improve conditions in deprived youth in Ghana. You will spend time with kids, play games and interact in a positive way. You can have your own class after school where you can arrange activities, train and have a positive impact to the community.

Agriculture And Farming: Join our local team to work at our organic farm fully, or combine some time with work on teaching, care or building projects.

General Building Projects: Join our local team and help construct better quality homes, latrine/toilet,classrooms and vocational centers for children,deprived youth and families. You will learn traditional ways to make bricks from mud and water, plastering, painting and drawing.

Local Fish Preservation: Spend the full time learning how the local women preserve fish for consumption and export, or combine some time with work on teaching,care or building projects.

Boat Building: Learn how local boats are built by spending time on the beach and doing construction.

Kente Cloth Weaving: Study Kente cloth weaving and learn the techniques by locals to design traditional fashion.

Sports:
Soccer:
Improve your soccer skills and ability while at the same time help local children develop their game.

You can get involved in all aspects of a youth academy, including training with a local team.

Rugby: Help children develop their game. Get involved, go to practices and train with a local team.
Basketball: Help children develop their game. Get involved, go to practices and train with a local team.

Nursing: Professional nursing volunteers work at hospitals and clinics in one or two of our regions in Ghana.

Doctors: Professional volunteer doctors will work at hospitals and clinics in one or two of our regions in Ghana.

Teaching:

Computer Teacher: Share your knowledge of IT with Ghanaian students and teachers.Teach basic computer skills like typing, researching and explain how to use basic software such as word, excel and PowerPoint.

Teach English and other subjects: Students are taught all subjects in English from age 10 upwards. It is important that children get a good grounding in English from an early age.

Teach French: French speaking volunteers will teach in community schools or in extra classes after school.

Community Building:
Volunteers will help build libraries, latrine/toilets, playgrounds and more for children and communities. Learn how to carve masks and make drums plus other skills.
